Student Council
Students in grades 9-12 may apply to be part of student council. Our student leadership group works to promote school unity through fun activities. Activities include: spirit days, pep rallies, ice cream socials, door decorating contests, Operation Christmas Child, and teacher and pastor appreciation luncheons.
Senior Helpers
Each senior is paired with an elementary class to assist the teachers with any need including reading with students, playing games, etc. This creates lasting relationships between the younger students and their “helper” and promotes unity between younger and older students in our school.
See You At The Pole
Each September our senior class leads the student body in a time of prayer for our country, state, and school.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, a Christian international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Students at North Rome Christian School participate in the program by bringing in various items throughout the month of November. The student council then takes an afternoon to assemble the items into an age-appropriate shoebox. Many families work on this project together at home and send their boxes in to school. Once all the boxes are completed, they are brought into the gymnasium where all the students and staff will assemble to pray for the person receiving the box to be blessed and for the message of Christ to become real to them.
Leadership Conference
The junior class attends the ACSI Leadership Conference each November in Washington DC. This conference educates on topics relevant to today’s society and equips students to be the leaders that God designed them to be.
March For Life Rally
The March For Life is an annual rally held in Washington, D.C. which supports the unborn on or around the anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s Roe vs Wade decision.
Since 2002, a group of North Rome Christian School seniors or juniors, along with school staff and a few parents, have been invited to join Bradford County Pennsylvanians for Human Life on a bus trip to Washington, D.C. to attend this rally. This is an optional trip funded individually by the students. They collectively join with nearly half a million other concerned people supporting life. Upon returning from their trip, students share this unique experience with their classmates by way of testimonials during a high school chapel. Our students always report of the life changing experience this rally provides. It is always the returning group that encourages the staff at North Rome Christian School to continue supporting this event.
